The accommodation consists of seven cottages in a splendid 200-year-old stable block with a separate three-bedroom cottage.
Bed linen is supplied free, and towels are for hire. The holiday rentals are family-friendly and provide a garden for guests' use. The properties are perfectly placed for touring the beautiful and dramatic southwest. The Beara, Sheep's Head, and Mizen peninsulas are all within an easy drive. Bantry town is located at the head of Bantry Bay and has many historical connections. It is also a fishing port with much to offer.

My house at Ardnagashel was lovely and very comfortable. It's situated in the grounds of an old & a Big House(now gone) so there are good walks and it's a beautiful location. Overall I was very happy with it and would stay there again. The directions to Ardnagashel are confusing though. Rather than being 3 miles from Bantry, it's about 6 miles/10km (well past the junction with the R584 and Ballylickey). Keep going till you see a roadsign for Snave on the right; then there's small green sign low down on the left of the road for Rent an Irish Cottage - start slowing down and indicating immediately as the entrance (and the main sign) are set back from the road and you'e likely to overshoot them otherwise(as I did). Also, if you're going to need a spare key, either give lots of notice or get one yourself in Bantry after you arrive.
