Peace, space, luxury, value. This is a wonderful house. Feels very homely. The best self catering we have stayed in. Our four kids had loads of room inside and out and we could relax and have some peace even when it rained. The veranda is a lovely place to sit. Feels like you are away from it all yet only ten minute drive from Drimoleague. Easy drive to Bantry, Skibberreen etc. Lovely welcome and welcome package.
We stayed here for a week along with our 2 young kids who are 5 and 3. It was a spectacular setting and full of places to explore. If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle and get back in tune with nature, this is a great choice. Rural so make sure you stock up on food although the house is stocked with alot of basic essentials. Also a great supply of toys, books, dvds, games etc. The local highlights were the Alpaca walk and a visit to Glenilen farm.
Warm welcome from the owner of the house. The house is in a secluded area, but very very nice. It was a bit dusty, but not dirty. Very good value for money, but note that if you want to go out, there's nothing there. A lovely place for friends or family who want to get away from it all.
It was a bit out of the way , but we loved it. It was one of the best equipped houses that we've stayed in. We recieved a lovely welcome pack (a bottle of wine, milk, butter and a cake etc)
Our Hostess met us in the local village and drove us to the house. The greeting was warm and friendly and there were fresh flowers in the house, together with a bottle of wine and biscuits as well as key items in the fridge. As the house is very isolated, your details should specify that a cell phone for emergency communication is a must.
