Of the 10 cottages in this development, the larger, three-bedroom version sleeps up to 7 people. All cottages are nicely decorated and very well furnished, with large living/dining areas and fully fitted kitchens. An old-world feel is created with the use of traditional materials such as weathered slate and white-washed walls. Each cottage also has a front porch and a half-door to lean on. The interiors are a blend of historic and modern with rugged stone flooring, a pine dresser, and a peat fire. Kitchens are fully equipped with all mod cons, including dishwasher, microwave and washing machine.
Central heating runs throughout the house, and the bathroom is located on the ground floor.
These award-winning properties boast stunning views of Clew Bay, and the sacred mountain of Croagh Patrick forms the backdrop. They are close to two blue flag beaches, mountains, and fishing areas. This is an ideal base for touring north Mayo, Connemara and Clew Bay Islands, just 20 minutes' drive from indoor leisure and outdoor activity centres, horse riding, and golf. You are within a 3-minute walk of shops, pubs, and restaurants. Private parking is provided.

Very authentic old Irish cottages but with all the conveniences to make a holiday comfortable ie dishwasher, microwave, central heating. Very relaxing break, lovely location, not overly comercial.
Great accommodation. Lovely cottage, well-preserved - much better than I expected.
The house was clean and had everything we needed, however the beds were a bit hard. It was only value for money because we went after the peak holiday time. It would not be value for money at peak rates. The information pack was a bit outdated.
The cottage was lovely, Louisburg itself is a small town but its a very good base for visiting lovely spots such as Westport, Croagh Patrick, Connemara, Achill and many more lovely locations. The beach in Louisburg is lovely and there are loads more beautiful secluded beaches nearby which are lovely for walking on. The house was lovely and quaint and it was very clean on arrival. It contained everything you would need to make your stay comfortable. Overall we really enjoyed our trip to Co. Mayo and would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.
The location was great for a family with four kids from 20 to 10 years old if you like the sea, walking, fishing and shopping and the house provided for all needs in a good location within short walk to shop and pub.
